Lady Voyeur Review: A Brazilian Series That Promises Sex and Thrill, Does It Deliver Though?
Lady Voyeur is a limited Brazilian thriller series that is currently streaming on Netflix. The Lady Voyeur here is Miranda. She is a professional hacker who works from home. But that's not the exciting part of her life. She is predisposed to a genetic memory loss disorder, from her mother's side. This prompts her to record most of her daily observations, so she doesn't lose the essence of who she is. And these observations feature a lot of voyeurism by Miranda. She lives opposite the structure where Cleo lives. Cleo is a sex worker with handsome, rich, and influential clients. And the structured voyeur that Miranda is, she has detailed descriptions of the clients, the time and dates of their visits, and how much fun they seem while having sex with Cleo. The two that stand out the most are Fernando and Heitor, though Miranda doesn't know their names yet. Fernando is the most exciting client. Heitor on the other hand seems disinterested. Both are handsome and obviously wealthy. One day, Cleo requests Miranda to house-sit her dog Barbie. And for her, it's a dream come true. Miranda unabashedly goes through Cleo's things and puts on her dress, wig, and makeup. But to Miranda's surprise and pleasure, in walks Fernando who sweeps Miranda off her feet and dumps her into a quagmire of complexities and danger. After an incident that makes Miranda and Fernando accomplices in a crime, Fernando enlists Miranda's help in investigating Heitor, who happens to be his brother-in-law. Once Miranda's investigation begins, she becomes entangled in more intricate situations, that prove to be near fatal at times. Adding to this, with the murder of Heitor's wife, the mysterious disappearance of Cleo, and Miranda's own demons-wrought life, the voyeur soon turns into the prey of a hunt she didn't even know she was a part of. The plot of Lady Voyeur is filled with plot twists at every corner. The performances of the actors are splendid and it does hurt that every one of them is seriously hot. The investigation of murder, betrayal, and deep-buried secrets interspersed with sexy shots of chiseled bodies and beautiful faces, makes Lady Voyeur an intriguing watch!
