Working Moms Season 6 Ends on a Scary Cliffhanger. Will there be Season 7?

By Rashmi Goel

Netflix has renewed the comedy series for a 7th season!

Workin' Moms, which just released its sixth season in most regions, is one of Netflix's underappreciated sitcoms. The series created by Catherine Reitman is expected to return for a seventh season, so when will Workin' Moms season 7 be available on Netflix? Let's take a stab. Currently, on its 70th episode, Workin' Moms is the perfect Netflix comedy binge. Following its original broadcast on CBC, the show comes to Netflix exclusively outside of Canada after exceeding that impressive episode count in only five years. For those of you who have yet to watch the sixth season, here is what you can expect: It takes courage to admit when you are wrong, and that is the theme of Workin' Moms Season 6. There is no question that moms can do it all, says Catherine Reitman's comedy series. The process may cost them their sanity and involve a lot of swearing, but it's possible. Season 6 shifted the emphasis back to asking when is "doing it all" really too much? An exciting new episode featuring cheating, heartbreak, pushed limits, and a new stepkid who never forgets to be funny. How does this episode end? Find out here.

What Happened In The Season Finale Of Workin' Moms?

However, we must pause for a moment to speak about Anne before we get to that cliffhanger. Anne's daughter Alice (Sadie Munroe) started working as Anne's secretary early in the season. When this mother-daughter pair discovered something shocking, they were both shocked. As a therapist, Alice was undoubtedly better than her mother. Due to Alice's talent and her unceasing need to enrage her mother, she took some of her mother's clients. This is how Margaret (Martha Girvin) came into the picture. Heather became Alice's unofficial client. Heather crossed a number of ethical and professional lines by stalking Alice at her high school, but she crossed one more when she followed her. Heather approached Anne's family again, and Anne slammed her into a car, threatening to kill Heather if she did. The final scene of "Grow If You Want" shows Kate and Anne making up right before Anne sees Heather sitting in a car staring at her. A car engine is heard revving and a phone call is cut short, but we are not shown what happens next. There seems to be something wrong with Heather, as she seems to have run down Anne.

Have Workin’ Moms Been Renewed For Season Seven?

Currently, the show is preparing for production on its seventh season. Officially, it is still awaiting an official renewal, but in reality, they are already producing it. In the coming weeks, we will hear an official announcement from the social media accounts of Workin' Moms. Production on season 7 is set to begin on June 20th and run through September 14th, 2022, according to several production listings. In late February 2023, post-production is scheduled to conclude. Season 7 episodes will be directed by Yael Staav. Assuming that the series will be aired on CBC in the spring of 2023, we can expect it to air there. After the series concludes, we can expect season 7 to be released on Netflix in late spring/early summer 2023, as with previous seasons. It's rare to find a show like Workin' Moms on Netflix these days. Over the past few years, Netflix has stopped distributing international programming, whether it comes from CBC in Canada or local distributors in other regions. A few CBC shows are still available on Netflix, most notably Anne with an E and Kim's Convenience (the latter will leave Netflix US by the end of 2022).
